Pupil's Area: School Council
Two Schools Council members are elected by each class each term. These children, together with staff, form a committee which meets to discuss all aspects of school life. These children bring forward ideas which come from the main pupil body.
We value the opinions of these pupils who allow us to see things from a different perspective. Recently, we have consulted with them on our new merit system and they raised some very good points.
The schools council is an important part of school life. It gives children the opportunity to become involved in decision making. Children become more independent and begin to take ownership of improvements made in school.
We are grateful to those children who volunteer.
As part of our anti-bullying week, we decided to hold an assembly for the whole school. We wanted to help pupils to understand what bullying actually is and we wanted to show the effects of it.
