Parents' Area: Homework

As a school we are committed to raising the standards and promoting skills for life-long independent learning and believe that homework is an essential part of your child's education.

During the school year our homework programme will usually include:

- Reading to, or with an adult or independently

- Learning spellings, practising handwriting and writing stories

- Learning tables, number bonds and completing maths exercises

- Finding out information

- Revision activities

- Assignments to consolidate and reinforce work undertaken in lessons appropriate to the subject

When your child's teacher sets homework, it will be written in this book so that you help them complete any tasks set.

Parental support is valued by us in school. We believe by working together in partnership we can best help your child learn.
