Curriculum: P.E.
Miss Fisk -Year 4 teacher and P.E Co-ordinator.
Another busy term is well underway, and having taken over the role of P.E Co-ordinator from Mrs Blackburn I am eager to keep the children involved in as many activities and competitions as I can.
The spring term has started off with the following clubs - badminton, dance, gym and netball for Year 5 & 6. After Easter there will be these additional clubs - netball for Year 3 & 4 and cricket.
The SSCO has organised an Indoor Athletic and an Orienteering Festival. These festivals were open to Year 5 and 6 children only. All children represented the school well and showed great team spirit and determination. The school came second in the Indoor Athletics and one team of boys came first in the Orienteering festival - Well done to all those children who took part!
Class 4 Year 4 have been selected to take part in a rackets festival organised by the SSCO on the afternoon of Tuesday 11th March. I am sure all the children involved will have a fun filled afternoon as well as improving their racket skills.
This term also sees the start of the badminton and netball leagues, so far we have performed very well in both these leagues.
So far this term the weather has been fair and we are able to take the children out to do P.E and Games lessons.
This has been, and is going to be, a very busy term with lots of children representing the school in many different sporting activities.
