School Clubs: Music
Choir
The school choir meets on a Wednesday morning for thirty minutes to rehearse songs ready for different festivals and concerts.
In May 2005 they performed at The Spa as part of the Bridlington Arts Festival. Following this they took part in the Hornsea Music Festival and came in 3rd place.
This year we are working towards Harvest Festival, singing in the Bridlington Old Town Christmas festivities, Burlington's Christmas Concert and entering the BBC Songs of Praise competition.
The school orchestra meets every Monday from 3.30 - 4.30 pm. All children who receive a peripatetic instrumental lesson at school attends the orchestra. The children are of differing abilities so we play a mixture of tunes - ranging from 'Autumn' by Vivaldi to modern tunes such as 'Amarillo'.
We performed in the Christmas and Summer concerts and may work towards entering the Hornsea Music Festival next year.
This year, 2007, we are entering the BBC Joseph Choir competition. Click here to find out all about this.
