The Story of the Golden Apple

Once, there was this old King, walking along his favourite shore.  He was thinking about his daughter who was soon to be married.  Suddenly, he heard a loud splash and right in front of his eyes was a gorgeous, green, scaly-tailed sea goddess. The King was so startled he nearly fell in the water himself!  The first second he set eyes on this goddess he was overcome by her beauty, he started letting out all his feelings for her. You could nearly see love hearts in his eyes and hear his heart thumping like crazy!

When the goddess heard the lovey-dovey words she was disgusted by it and immediately swam off.  The King was determined to find the sea goddess, but the thing was, the sea goddess was also very determined to stay away form the King!  So, to prevent him finding her she turned into various creatures, some that didn't even exist, but, the King was in love with her, so the goddess finally agreed she would  marry him.

The King invited gods and goddesses to their wedding, apart from the goddess of arguments. If she was invited you know what would happen wouldn't you?  Well the goddess of arguments was very angry with this, so she came anyway.  She also brought an apple (a gold one, not a golden delicious!!!), anyway, back to the story.  On the apple it said,'TO THE FAIREST'.  The goddess threw the apple at the gods and goddesses and said,

That serves you right for not inviting me.
