The K'Nex Challenge 2008

This year Burlington Junior School have entered the K'Nex challenge. 

There are 2 stages to the competition:

Level 1 - School Challenge - The K'Nexperimentor:  This year's challenge was to design a Moon Buggy for NASA!  The children taking part each received a challenge certificate.

These are the instructions they had to follow:

1. Your team has been chosen to design a moon buggy to carry an astronaut and equipment over the surface of the moon.

2. You must design and build a buggy using the K'Nex kit provided.

3. The buggy must be able to carry the equipment 'pod'. The pod weighs 500g. There must also be space for the astronaut.

4. The vehicle must not be more than 30cm long and 15cm wide.

Level 2 - Melanie Liu and Cobey Tindall were the winning pair from level 1.  They are now invited to the area challenge to compete against other schools in the East Riding of Yorkshire. GOOD LUCK TO THEM BOTH!
